Lemon Plant


Scientific Name:Citrus limonum Risso,Citrus limon(L) Burm It is a member of the family, Rutaceae. A lemon tree can reach up to 20 feet in height. Lemon leaves grow alternately along the branches of lemon trees. The leaves are ovate, oblong and fine toothed, coming to a point on the non-stem end. It is cultivated all over the world and is used for culinary and medicinal purposes. The tree should be planted in fertile soil and needs fertilization frequently to produce fruits in copious amounts.
